Our Rides
Learn more about our rides Ms. Coach and Escape Pod, why we chose them, and upgrades we’ve done!
More coming in the near future for both rides!
Ms. Coach is a 2004 42’ Country Coach Intrigue Ovation. Studies show that typically people will go through an average of 3 units before they find the perfect one. However, after over 5 years on the road with Ms. Coach we know we thought it through carefully and made the right choice.
Our RV
Ms. Coach
-
We researched for over 5 years between 5th wheels, motor homes, New & Used and weighed the scale on all of them. From research and personal preference, we decided that Ms. Coach was the best choice for us. We learned that the RV Industry shifted majorly in 2008. We saw that there was a major shift in quality in how coaches were made in the price range we were shopping. We figured out with the cost of Ms. Coach, we would have money left over for upgrades to her that would fit our needs better than buying a more expensive cookie cutter unit that didn’t feel right for us.

One of the upgrades we added to Ms. Coach was 2000 Watts of Solar, including 800 Amp hours of Lithium & 3000 Watt Pure Sine HyBrid Inverter. In addition we did many more upgrades at Premier RV in Junction City, OR. You will soon see we have much more to share with you about Ms. Coach in the near future. Stay tuned!
Our Vehicle
Escape Pod
Escape Pod is our 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk. We call our Jeep the Escape Pod because it’s hard to bring Ms. Coach into National Parks, Forest & BLM Land. So, we park Ms. Coach in a safe place and call that our Home Base. The Jeep we can take on some pretty rough trails, hence “Escape Pod.” It takes us to unique and exciting places that we can escape to.

Because we love to “Get Off The Beaten Path” and “Go Anywhere” we knew that the Jeep brand was the way to go for us. We made a choice between an Unlimited Rubicon and the Cherokee Trail Hawk. We chose the Cherokee because we like our comforts… à la Ms. Coach. It may sound contradictory that we enjoy our comforts but also love the times when we are roughing it! Yet we love having the contrast! Our Cherokee Trail Hawk gives us more comfort for long paved road drives but can handle the rough off-road stuff as well.

We added the two Thule toppers for a temporary place to put gear for those times when we decide to do off-roading and other adventures. We love to Hike, Kayak, Bike, and other activities that are adventurous and challenging. We have a mini Dometic fridge we can take with us that has a 500 Watt Goal Zero generator with 60 watts of solar on the roof of one of the Tule toppers. We also mounted a heavy Duty Kuat dual Bike rack.
